About TRYTIME
Trytime Rugby focuses on all facets of rugby from grass roots junior players right through to the management of professional rugby players.
We aim to create the opportunity for all players to get the best out of their rugby whether that is to have fun with their friends or to sign their next professional contract. We do this by focusing on a number of key areas.
At a junior level we run individual or small group coaching sessions, as well as school holiday rugby camps for players aged between 6-18 years. There is a strong emphasis on fun but also on personal development on and off the field.
At a senior level we deal with more than 300 clubs worldwide to place our players in contracts that suit their personal aspirations. Players register with us looking for opportunities and we do everything we can to place them with quality clubs either locally, nationally or in most cases internationally.
Through our partners and relationships formed within the global rugby network we also have a number of other opportunities for clubs and players such as;
Full time Academy programs in NZ and SA for aspiring young players looking to focus completely on their rugby.
Rugby tours organised for your club or school.
Trytime shop where you can purchase top quality protective wear such as headgear, shoulder pads and mouthguards as well as other Trytime merchandise.

About Mike Cross:
Mike has been coaching rugby full time for the last 15 years at nearly every level of the game. He’s worked in schools and clubs to introduce kids as young as 5 to rugby, as well as coaching right through to the elite level of the sport with the NSW Waratahs Under 19’s and Shute Shield First Grade.
He’s also the Coaching Director and First Fifteen coach at St Pius X College where he oversees the whole rugby program for students aged 10-18.
In 2014 Mike set up Trytime Rugby as a way of growing the game and sharing his coaching knowledge with the wider rugby community. Since then, Trytime has become responsible for leading and overseeing the coaching programs at several Junior Rugby clubs and district rep programs. Within these roles Mike and his Trytime coaches assist club coaches by delivering coaching that is not only safe but will also further enhance individual and team performance. Trytime work directly with kids as well as running club coaching sessions to further develop the coaching skills of club coaches.
Trytime Rugby also run school holiday rugby camps each term holidays, where more than 2000 players, aged 5 – 14, come through each year to improve their skills, make friends and have fun playing rugby.
Mike’s experience coaching across every level of the game has given him a vast understanding of the development pathway for players at every age and every level of the game. This puts Trytime in a unique position to share that experience and help anyone involved in rugby to get the best out of themselves.
